Youth

Purpose

Our family-based, relational/mentoring ministry exists for the purpose of equipping students to glorify God by helping to bring them to spiritual maturity (Col. 1:28) along with equipping them to do the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:11-12). Reinforcing the biblical truths a student is receiving in the home will help facilitate a foundation of knowledge and character development that will enable them to glorify God through investing in others.

Overview

Weekly there are opportunities for students to be equipped and challenged by God’s Word through Wednesday night youth group and our senior high Sunday school. Students are also given the opportunity to be involved in a youth committee through which they are taught how to be purposeful in developing, organizing and executing various activities and ministries throughout the year.

Through our DIVE ministry, one-on-one discipleship, students are given the opportunity to develop a passion for the truth of God’s Word helping to develop a biblical worldview and biblical responses to current cultural issues. This environment of accountability with one of the youth leaders also enables them to see an example of godliness they can imitate. Other opportunities occur throughout each month in the form of fellowship, service and outreach events.

It is through these specific opportunities we believe our students will be provided with the opportunity of spiritual maturity and service within the body of Christ.
