Welcome to First Baptist

Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about First Baptist Church. Please take some time to browse our website. It is my prayer that you will clearly see that Jesus Christ is the primary focus of our lives and our ministry. As a church, our mission is to glorify God by evangelizing people to Jesus Christ, teaching them to be growing disciples and equipping them for service.

Our congregation includes people at every stage of life. We provide a variety of quality children’s ministries. We strive to provide a cheerful and safe atmosphere with interactive teaching methods that allow children to learn more about Jesus Christ through the Word of God. We offer a nursery for infants & toddlers, Joy Church for preschool & lower elementary children, Sunday school, Melody Makers children’s choir, and Wednesday night AWANA/Kids of Character.

We are blessed to have a thriving youth ministry at FBC with dedicated leaders that encourage teenagers to live for Christ and serve Him within the local church and community. Our youth pastor, Dan Fields, has a love for God and a burden for today’s youth culture. In order to foster dynamic growth within the lives of teenagers, he and his wife, Rebecca, provide godly teaching, outreach opportunities, fun activities, and Gospel-based mission trips.

Our college ministry continues to develop as we seek to reach out to students in our area with Bible studies, times of fellowship, and service opportunities.

There are a several different Men’s and Women’s Bible studies offered throughout the year. Adult Sunday school classes study a variety of topics and are designed to strengthen your walk with Christ and deepen your knowledge of the truth of God’s Word.

Our Senior Saints are an active group with Sunday School classes. Their godly testimony encourages the other ministries at FBC.

Since 1872, First Baptist Church has been seeking to bring glory to the Lord by equipping authentic followers of Christ through the implementation of the truth of God’s Word. As we attempt to carry out the commission of making disciples from Matthew 28:18-20, it is our prayer that Christ will use our lives to honor and please Him.

If you’d like to know more about God’s gift of salvation, please let us know. If you are new to the Creston area and are looking for a church home, we invite you and your family to come visit our church family at First Baptist Church.

In Christ Alone,
